Donate to the Grimsby Public Library by visiting our Canada Helps page. Your gift will go to supporting our programs, collections and services. Please contact us if you would like to donate to a specific project. Contact information is at the bottom of this page.

Adopt-A-Book program

Fill out the Adopt-A-Book form

Donate to the Adopt-A-Book program to help buy books for the Library. If you donate $20 or more, you can dedicate a bookplate inside the adopted book that recognizes a loved one or honours an important event. Your donation to this program will help us keep up with the demand for new books while creating a lasting tribute.

To Adopt-A-Book:

  1. Fill out the Adopt-A-Book form online or pick one up at the library. You may select a book genre (ex. mystery, gardening etc.) or a preferred author on the form
  2. Bring the finished form to the Library, along with the amount you wish to donate. Donate using cash, cheque or debit
  3. We will send you a letter confirming your adoption and the title purchased, as well a tax receipt if your donation is over $20

  • All gifts over $20 will receive a tax receipt for the amount of the gift
  • Gifts $20 or more may request a bookplate inside the adopted book recognizing the honoured party and the donor
  • Donations for Adopt-A-Book can be made with cash, cheque or debit
